4th of July

In the stroller, ready for fireworks.

Yes, everything is a group event around here.

He looks so... thrilled, doesn't he?

Ever the efficiency expert, Paul decided to start lighting a box at a time and passing them out, lol.

Here, Hannah, catch!

She's pretty fearless.

Getting into it now.

Katie did not care for the fireworks, which surprised me, since they're such a big deal in Chinese celebrations.

I ended up spending part of the evening sitting on the porch swing, holding her.

Never too old for a sparkler.

It's loud.

Someone may have burned his foot.

Awwww, it went out.

Neighbors at the end of the street had better stuff than we did.

All done.

As Zazu says, "Ah, there's one in every family, sire.  Two in mine, actually."

Pyrotechnics on wheels, what's not to love?

"I am smiling."
(you'd think he'd show a *little* more excitement, he did get to put out a fire on our "lawn.")

And that about sums it up.  It was really hot here, so we stayed in all day.  Paul and the boys set up 3 folding tables worth of Legos in the playroom.

This will get hours of play over the next few days.
